About the Alliance

A network built for Ireland's translation companies

A professional network bringing together the agencies, language service companies, and technology providers that make up Ireland's translation and localization sector.

The community of Ireland's translation companies

Who we are

One industry, one network

The Alliance of Irish Translation Companies (AITC) is a professional network for the businesses of Ireland's language industry: translation agencies, localization companies, and the technology providers that work alongside them.

Ireland sits at the centre of European localization and is the English-speaking gateway to the EU market. Its individual translators and interpreters have long had a professional home, but the companies that employ them, win the contracts, and build the sector have never had a dedicated network of their own. The Alliance exists to give them one.

We bring the sector together in a single place: a directory that makes members easy to find, market intelligence that keeps them informed, partner rates that lower the cost of doing business, events that build connections, and a platform where companies can publish and be heard.

Ireland's translation companies have had no dedicated network of their own. We exist to change that.

In short

How the Alliance works

What is the Alliance?

The Alliance of Irish Translation Companies is a professional network for translation, localization, and language service companies in Ireland. Its purpose is to help member companies grow by giving them visibility, market intelligence, useful commercial benefits, and a community of peers. It is an industry platform, operated commercially, not a regulatory or representative body.

What do we do?

We bring Ireland's translation companies together and make the sector easier to navigate. We maintain a member directory, publish news and analysis on the Irish and EU language markets, secure partner rates on the tools companies rely on, run online events and interviews, and give members a platform to publish their own articles, announcements, and interviews.

Who are our members?

Our members are companies: from independent agencies to established language service providers and the technology companies that support them, operating in or serving the Irish market.

How is the Alliance different from the ATII?

The ATII, formerly the ITIA, is the professional association for individual translators and interpreters. The Alliance is different in who it serves: our members are companies, and our focus is the business side of the sector. The two are complementary.

Why join?

Membership gives your company a directory profile and an official member badge, access to curated Irish and EU market intelligence, preferential partner rates, the opportunity to publish and be interviewed on the Alliance site, and a place in the community shaping language services in Ireland.
