Member Badge Guidelines
How to display the Alliance of Irish Translation Companies member badge, and the conditions that come with it. These guidelines keep the badge consistent and meaningful wherever members use it.

What it means
The member badge
The badge tells clients, partners, and the wider market that your company is a current member of the Alliance and has agreed to its Code of Conduct.
It is a mark of membership and commitment, not a certification, accreditation, or quality guarantee issued by the Alliance. Used well, it signals that your company is part of the network shaping language services in Ireland.
Conditions of use
Who can use the badge
- Only companies with an active membership in good standing may display the badge.
- The badge indicates current membership and agreement to the Code of Conduct. It must not be presented as an accreditation, certification, or endorsement of quality by the Alliance.
- Do not imply that the Alliance certifies, ranks, or guarantees your work.
- Remove the badge promptly from your website, materials, and profiles if membership lapses, is suspended, or is terminated.
- Do not alter the badge, its colours, its text, or its proportions.
Placement
Where to display it
Put the badge where members and clients will see your affiliation. A few good places:
Your website
In the footer, on your About or credentials page, or anywhere you list affiliations.
Email signature
Alongside your name and company to signal membership in everyday correspondence.
Proposals and tenders
On bids, quotes, and capability documents where credibility matters.
Social profiles
On company profiles and posts, where the badge sits well at a readable size.
Breathing room
Clear space
Keep clear space around the badge so it stands on its own. Leave a margin on every side, and let nothing crowd or overlap it (the area is shown in green).

Legibility
Minimum size
The badge contains text, so keep it large enough to read. Do not display it below 64px on screen, or 16mm in print.
No smaller than 64px / 16mmBackgrounds
Using the badge on backgrounds
The badge is made for light backgrounds. On dark or coloured backgrounds, place it inside a white container so the rings keep their contrast.

Do not stretch, squash, or distort the badge.

Do not rotate or tilt the badge.

Do not recolour the badge or change its colours.
